Working With CarrieMTravel
Usually in our first conversation, which will last about 20 minutes, I ask about your past travel experiences, your style and taste, your goals for the trip, and any other specifics (allergies, physical limitations, fears, etc.) Then we start planning!
It is an on-going process as we research and give you options to consider for lodging and transportation. Once we have that set, we can assist with tours, restaurant reservations, and other local information. Along the way we put together an online itinerary that you can view anytime which includes every detail about your trip.
Before departure we reconfirm all reservations, make sure amenities are applied, and that everyone and everything is ready for your arrival. We are your resource before, during and after your trip (there are sometimes glitches no one can predict.)
My favorite part of the process is talking with you after you return to hear the stories, see a few pictures, and get feedback of what you loved and what could have been different so that I can get to know you better. I get so much joy sharing in your memories!
To cover our time researching and making reservations, I do charge a planning fee. It is based upon the length and complexity of the trip. It is nonrefundable and is payable at the beginning of the of the planning process, but I am always happy to have our first conversation with no strings attached. We need to be a good fit and I enjoy meeting new people.
International Trip
- Includes itinerary planning, air suggestions, train, lodging options, car rentals, transfers, tours, etc.
- Above is for one couple or family; we also do multi-generational and group. A firm planning fee will be quoted after our first discussion.
Domestic Trip
- Single destination identified (one location, one ski resort)
- Includes air suggestions, three lodging options, car rentals or transfers, lift tickets, etc.
- Examples include airfare and resort in Key West for a family or couple for five to seven days; five-day ski trip to Park City with air, condo, car rental, and lift tickets.
- Above is for one couple or family; we also do multi-generational and group. A firm planning fee will be quoted after our first discussion.
Cruises
- Ocean or river cruise. Includes air suggestions, shore excursions, etc.
- For ocean or river cruises with more complex touring or pre- and post-cruise stays, an additional planning fee may apply.

While I have some great relationships with an extensive list of suppliers who provide clients with amenities not available anywhere else, I am not tied to anyone anywhere! I choose suppliers based on how well they match with what you want, your tastes, and your needs.
